really? Thomas Paine? I thought the Age of Reason was amusing at best from a theological/scriptural standpoint. I haven't read it in a while. It's on my shelf, so maybe I'll reread soon.

in spite of my strict religious upbringing (CoC, I dont think I ever really believed. Reading the book forced me to really take an honest look at my religion. To me, the innaccuracies in the old testament that the book addresses are undeniable. If left me believing that there is no possible way for this to be the literal word of God
