You should. Les as a coach is a 'leader of men'. We provide these players with some advantages
- training to be a leader on the field
- ability to speak in public (via interviews)
- exposure
If the players follow their coach to a conclusion that is regressive, would you not be concerned.
A few days ago, I heard Ryan Theriot comment about a local issue of City of St. George (I oppose the move). Ryan has the platform because he was a public figure thanks to LSU baseball in part. He has been influenced in part by Skip. So, you should be concerned about how people in positions of influence conduct, explain their beliefs.
Your avatar pic is funny.
You do know some believe that gay can be cured with prayer and beatings. Such beliefs will continue if the influencers believe the same.
With Saban's stature and success at Bama, his influence may not be limited to just the football program. His audience may be Bama community at large. Any successful coach is an influencer. Les is a successful coach too. He has influence with people.
Who cares? You should.

Les is there to coach football. I don't need to hear neither he nor the players discussing stuff like this. I don't want to know about people's choices in their sex lives and I don't want Les and players getting into whatever flavor of the day media story happens to be.

people have their opinions...it's not Miles' job to change peoples opinions on a certain subject.

you're making an assumption that Ryan's opinion is based on his connection with Skip Bertman. Thats a stupid assumption.

i've heard of the prayer part...never heard of the beating part. The people that believe that gay can be cured with prayer are entitled to their opinion.

and they're entitled to their opinion...whether you agree with it or not
