I seriously passed by there the other day and said I would dare myself to stay there one night. How is it?
Top notch. Clean towels.

I swear the Oneal Lane project has broken world records for time taken

Hwy 73 in Prairieville is taking forever too. They've been at it for at least 3 years and are no where close to being done
Another quality project delivered way over schedule and over budget,
Signed Barber Bros.

O'Neal project schedule was for 2 years. Barber had zero business getting that project due to size but thanks to lowest bidder law that is who you got. Go sit in on a monthly construction meeting and you would have your answer.

Louisiana in general needs a good 10 years of road construction. After that it needs to be constant. It will be a pain in the arse but having good roads is good for everyone. Vegas is that way. I used to hate the constant construction but after living here I appreciate it now.

Wait until Hwy42 comes out for bid. Barber Bros will knock the bottom out of that price too. LA 73 Shitshow part deux

Thats not exactly true. Most highway mixes are a high early mix.
The progression of work on O'Neal has been horrible.
Plus, you can't claim rain days if you do any work. So on days where you have weather imminent (like today), no work.

But the state claims they will be finished by fall of this year. They are only 800 days into a 600 day contract with no end visible in the near future. i don't see how Barber stays in business. EVERY job they do is schitty and takes forever.

This is by far the longest I have seen. Runner Up is South Harrels Ferry.

This is an event. Schedules brought to meeting showing they have completed work that they haven't even started on. It is crazy what they have been allowed to get away with. Fleecing of the EBR tax dollar.

Such a dangerous part of town, it probably isn't the safest spot for road work during night. And there's always some kind of traffic during the day.

When is it scheduled to be complete?

bullshite! It isn't a dangerous part of town where the hell do you get this information from? Past Staring gets a kind of bad but crime has dropped quite a bit in the past 5 years there. Magnolia Wood, Kenilworth, Walden, are all really good neighborhoods. Most people in Mayfair keep up their places really nice also on the other side of Staring.
As far as Staring it has been at almost a stand still for 6 months.
