I'm pretty sure that none of you read this article or maybe you didn't understand it. Basically, the cooling is an anomaly.

For extra credit, what was the last line of the article?

Bueller, bueller?

My thought here, and this is mostly for tuba's sake, is that we turn the tables on the bully pulpit.
They continue to insist that you justify yourself without having to explain themselves. So what we need is for the major tenets of AGW to be spelled out and then they can find proof that they're misguided.
This is a theory after all and by nature is subject to reform. We have such brilliance on display, I figure they can help me sleep better tonight knowing that all is OK in the world.

This hiatus could persist for much of the present decade if the trade wind trends continue, however rapid warming is expected to resume once the anomalous wind trends abate.

Face it mate, they have no clue. And you might have realized that had you actually understood the article. Like this part . . .
quote:

A key component of the global hiatus that has been identified is cool eastern Pacific sea surface temperature, but it is unclear how the ocean has remained relatively cool there in spite of ongoing increases in radiative forcing.

And to cover their arse the original report added this
quote:

“Volcanoes and changes in solar radiation can also drive cooler decades against the backdrop of ongoing warming,” they said.

I know it came as quite a shock to know we went from rapid warming to cooling in under 20 years, but youre tilting at windmills at this point
