I wear Jobst (one of the original companies putting out scientifically legit compression garments), compression dress socks (khaki, black, etc).

Got trained by Jobst many yrs ago to be a custom fitter for their garments.

Gradient compression is the best way to go. You do not want a tourniquet effect at any point going up your leg.
