Being an a-hole doesn't make one deserving of being punched...especially in an environment like a basketball game.

Furthermore, it certainly doesn't justify Smart's actions which is what was being discussed in this thread. Smart was in the wrong.

If it bothers you to admit that, that's fine.

I think the dude deserved to be punched especially because he did it in the basketball game environment. He was saying stuff to a college student that he would NEVER say under any other circumstance, a very cowardly act. We can agree to disagree, but he deserved a punch in the face, IMO.

Again, that's independent of whether he deserved it or not, you seem to be confusing those 2 things.
