Should the Bronco's players receive this bonus.

Yes. They played in the Super Bowl

Do you think they should receive a penalty for crappy play by the Bronoco's organization?

Pragmatically speaking, if they penalize a player for poor play, not only will they need to overpay for every free agent since they'll be known for screwing people over, but they'll also catch loads of heat from at least the NFL and NFLPA.

A contract is a contract. Screwing your players isn't a good way to keep your players happy.

Absoultely. Im talking more of a down the road kind of thing. I mean as an orginazation, Denver was absolutely embarassed yesterday. There aren't many businessess that do very well by rewarding employees (or contract labor) for fiascos.

Obviously I understand they have to be paid whats in their contract. Im talking completely hypothetically, should these NFL teams start considering new bonus structures to account for incidents like this?

If the players are already guaranteed their money by getting to the game, then it doesn't matter if they shite the bed. Its similar to the players after their new contracts... How many players have you seen excel in the season immediately following the signing of their new contract.

Im just wanting to see what everyones opinion is. I've been on the fence about NFL for a while because you see players disapear after their new contract all too often.
