Our defense kept the game respectable until mid 4th quarter. 21-0 looks like a three touchdown beatdown, when it was really a field goal clinic by Bama and a nail-in-the-coffin TD run against a worn out defense. LSU's offense had question marks coming into game, especially after the Arkansas and Georgia games, and they were stuffed by an all-time great defense.
Denver's prolific offense led by a record-breaking QB got taken to the woodshed. The game never felt like it was close. Plus, Super Bowl > National Championship.
