No, you trade Jimmy Graham so you can get cheap in certain positions and get better in other positions. You get a couple 1st rounds for him or something like that...again, you get cheap through the draft with potential at 2 superstars. Then you have plenty money left over for FA to fill whatever needs you have...

It's not a hard concept to understand. I love Jimmy but it's going to cost the team too much to keep him. It's unfortunate but that's how it is. Paying him whatever ridiculous salary he's going to have isn't worth it. Means we'll lose guys like Strief and maybe even in some other positions some guys. If he gets hurt we're fricked. Not only did we lose our best offensive weapon but we signed him to a deal that prevented us from getting a ton more depth on the team.

A guy who touches the ball 6x a game and isn't even in on every offensive play isn't worth 10 mil+ a year, IMO. Wouldn't you rather us keep Strief, sign a big WR FA and use the 2 1st round picks on both offense/defense? Cam Jordan is coming up on a contract year and I'd much rather him get a big deal since he's in on almost every single defensive play...
