He was awesome in early roles like "Almost Famous" and "Twister" as well. Sucks he went out like this.

He was strong in many things down the stretch - Magnolia, of course (movie gets better with age), and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead - a powerful performance in a film that often gets overlooked.
I never watched Doubt or The Master - they're on my list to watch, primarily because of PSH.
RIP, my man.
