110,000 miles.
I changed the oil. Dumped a can of Seafoam and ran it for about 15 minutes then drained and changed oil and filter. His dash shows no oil pressure and is giving a warning. I checked the valve cover and the oil is getting up there so im hoping that its just a bad oil pressure send in unit.
cleaned the MAF, and the very dirty throttle body. Damn thing had a 1/8" thick layer of carbon on the back Side of the throttle blade.

Wtf

That makes no sense. Backfiring? How else would it get there?

The timing chain is broken. It has more than one chain because of the multiple can shaft set up. There is a chain guide that is about 6" long that the chain uses to keep in place. I recently looked at a cutaway Ford engine at a race and mentioned that this looks like a major problem in their design. I think it is some type of plastic.

Did you cut open the first oil filter and unroll the paper? You do this, and let the oil drip from it, then you can look at any pieces of metal that are trapped in the filter, you can find out a lot that way.
To me though, judging from somethings that you already posted, you have some burned valves on that side, especially the intake valves.
Could have been caused by a timing issue to begin with, but it seems like it would have affected both sides of the engine, unless each side has a separate crank reader?

I see now that it is a DOHC engine, I didn't realize that, everything explained now. Jumped time on one side.
