Me and my wife started watching season 1 few days ago and it's a damn good show. It's probably one of the best family dramas I've come across since the Sopranos. Very solid story line and a home run cast in my opinion. Very raw and gritty show.

I thought it was pretty good, the season finale sucked though

Loved it. Voight kills in this role. Hope next season they show more of Ray doing his job.

First off, Voight is absolutely money in this series. He was made for a role like this. He was great in the first half of the season but his character got a little pathetic at the end of the season with his drama with Ray and seeking forgiveness that wasn't going to happen.
Second, it's funny as hell how Rays wife is such a weak woman and lets ray walk all over her and pleading with him for the longest time to not keep secrets. And then when she found out what Ray pretty much does for a living, she was like oh ok and went all in and thinking nothing of her kids who could get hurt thanks to Ray's lifestyle. Shitty mother.
Third, I can tolerate a little anti-hero show but there are some real piece of shite human beings on this show, particularly with the protagonists. They kill, rob, frame and assualt people when it's needed for their own gain. The episode where they kept a priest severely injured from a gunshot wound captive until he said a sorry and ray lost his cool and killed him. Then the brothers and Ray's wife was fine with it. Granted he was a piece of shite and a rapist, but that said it all to how low they're willing to go.
Now, I know that's how it works in the world/underworld they live in but that's precisely why I probably will not be watching this show much in the future. But it's still a good show and I would reccomend it if you loved something like the sopranos.
