My well circulated 1978 CC Morgan sells for about that.

Any uncirculated CC Morgan attracts top dollar bids. Especially if the owner can prove it's been in the family for a long time and therefore not a recent counterfeit from China.

In 1972 the GSA sold off uncirculated CC Morgan silver dollars. I have several, including an 1879, which is rarest. The coins are all in plastic cases inside blue boxes with GSA provenance certificates. The owner of Scotsman Coin / Auction told me that because it is certifiably from the GSA hoard it adds a grand to the value.
