...to the point now that even a personal review of french fries from Five Guys gets anchored.

Yesterday I had two political posts, which offered commentary, information, and hypotheticals far less offensive than much of what gets posted on the Political Talk board, deleted apparently because somebody's political sensibilities were upset on a political talk board.

I am now going to have to look up what "anchored" means.

Your thread here was noted on your political moments in rock/pop thread and I followed it over here out of a perverse interest in your persecution, real or perceived. BTW as they say.

As you and I are on opposite ends of the political spectrum and also, I assume, the religious, it should make you feel somewhat better that I once had a thread deleted that I did not start but only posted a response to the thread's originator.

Someone posted a link to an 80's commercial that had an updated rendition of a song originally done and made popular by David Seville and Alvin and the Chipmunks. Witch Doctor.

Having been enthused that someone was aware of the song, I posted a link to the original version with a cordial . A poster complimented my link to the thread's originator and the entire thread disappeared. Whether for reasons related to offending the sensibilities of witch doctors, shamans or medicine men, because the thread's originator somehow believed that I had tried to "one up" him or for some other reason, I couldn't say.

As this is, for the most part, the only internet board, or boards, I read or comment on, I am quite a novice at it and am certain that I transgress some protocols and board etiquette. None are intentional. Insofar as I am able, I emulate one of my heroes Sir Thomas Moore: "I do none harm, I say none harm, I think none harm. And if this be not enough to keep a man alive, in good faith I long not to live."

Having gone on about all of that, I will say that I am almost in total disagreement with most of your social and political positions, but I believe the boards would be ill served by your absence.
