I don't think you understand what this is trying to convey.
Or maybe I don't, but I looked at as it being bullshite they are calling Bieber a misguided kid while Sherman is actually an upstanding person being labeled a thug.

It's conveying that people don't like Sherman for his comments and that people are excusing beiber's behavior.
I'm willing to bet that more people are cool with Sherman's comments than than people who excuse beiber's actions.
