Where do you get lack of trust from that quote?

Read the article.
Also, Evans is posting a career-high assist percentage, (27.7), this year. Yet Monty still wants to see him pass the ball more.

And injuries have played a significant role in his lack of minutes

I wouldn't say a "significant" role. He's close to 100% on that ankle right now, and still only played 28 minutes at Orlando.

Close to 100% does not equal 100%

Stats don't say everything. Monty sees something and is simply trying to help Tyreke get better. I see no lack of trust. I mean frick, if he doesn't trust Tyreke who is he going to trust. Brian Roberts?!?!

He doesn't want him to pass the ball more just to pass it, he's saying if you're triple or quadruple teamed someone has a better shot than you. The thing is he's wrong, they may be open, but they don't have a better shot, especially if AD is in the neighborhood to clean up. It's nice to finally have a defense breaker, haven't had one of those since we parted ways with CP3.

I mean he said he would like to see him pass when he gets to the lane and met by 3 people.
