Hey! Let's Talk About Pink and Britney.

First of all, kiss my arse. I'm just discussing music and something that interests me (in a depressing way).
Okay, in the last couple of weeks I've been channel surfing, and I've run across Pink's "The Truth About Love" tour and Britney's "Femme Fatale" tour. Let's call them sociological-musical field observations. Whatever. But I've watched a few minutes of both out of curiosity (morbid or otherwise).
I'm pretty familiar with recording vs. live tour realities and have actually done a small amount of music/business law work in L.A. and N.O. But holy shite I'm amazed at what people will pay money for "in concert".
Pink actually has a strong voice. She writes, has a real live band and, as for as I can tell, most of her vocals are actually live and not lip synced. Her stuff is really not my style, but I do appreciate the fact that she has talent and puts on a good live show.
But I watched about 20 minutes into the Kentwood road whore's concert, and I didn't see or hear a single live musician or even 20 seconds of vocals that weren't synced or, at the very least, auto-tuned/electronically enhanced or completely pre-recorded.
Why did I take the time to make this thread? Beats the shite out of me except for the fact that I think Pink has some admirable talent and Britney's biggest contribution can be found onstage at Rick's Cabaret.
I also would support legislation that require all ads for concerts to state how much was pre-recorded.
I know. tl;dr
I don't care. I feel better now.

You also said that Phish isn't good live.
So you would rather see Pink than Phish?

I really like trashy sluts (not saying Britney is one, but just saying).

You missed the audience for this by one night...the riff raff the Grammy thread brought in would've loved this

Britney hasn't put forth much effort in her performances since she had kids. Pre-baby tours such as Dream Within A Dream, Oops I did it Again, and Baby One More Time were some of her best performances...back when she actually danced her arse off. Us fans were willing to forgive lip synching if she was going to be doing so much dancing.
The Onyx Hotel tour was also well on its way to being some of her best performances and over the top sexiest show of all, but she got hurt and it was cancelled. She hasn't been the same since.
The Circus tour, was an interesting show from a production standpoint but her dancing had clearly slowed down and I felt like if she was going to barely dance, she should have sang live more. Femme Fatal was was a little better performance wise but the production was nowhere close to The Circus and she pretty much lip synched all but one song.

I've never seen Britney outside of MTV a long time ago, but Pink is legit. Her concert films I've seen on Palladia are damn entertaining, and I like a lot of her music.

Holy crap. You've analyzed this shite for real, yo.
But I'll take your word for it.

For the record, I didn't mean to pick on LouisianaLady. I just was just surprised that I got that much of a detailed response.
