My class I'm 8th grade did a retreat thing and part of it was our parents had to write us a letter. It was pretty awesome reading what my parents had to say, since I think a lot of us don't say everything we want to all the time. It was emotional, in a good way, and I was reminded of how cool it was today and got excited about my son having that on a larger scale.

I kept mine. Some really heartfelt thoughts in the letters, and it was pretty emotional since we received them not long before students moved away for college.
