re: UK Man wants guns legalized

I don't see the gun issue as a liberal issue as much as it is a regional issue, because southern and rural Democrats (eg. John Tester, Joe Manchin) and more pro-gun than urban and northeastern Republicans (eg. Peter King, Mark Kirk). What worries me about Obama's appointees is that they were both born and raised in New York City. If he had appointed a couple of southern and/or rural liberals, the Second Amendment would be safe for the time being. By the way, why do both Republican and Democrat Presidents feel that members of the SCOTUS must have an Ivy League pedigree anyway?
