I don't remember the year, but I was going to say either '84 or '85. I was a student from '81 to '85 and back then you just showed your student id at any LSU sporting event and you got in. The SEC series were 3 games, but they were a single 9 inning game and a 7 inning double header. The best college player that I saw during that time was Dave Magadan from Alabama, but I couldn't tell you which year he played at The Box either.

I played against Magadan in '82. I was a senior and he was a freshman. He could just flat out hit. I remember one game he sent me to the CF warning track 3 times. I caught one and the other 2 left the yard. On top of that, he closed the game on the mound. I missed playing against Bo. I'm sure he played at the Box. Back then we only played Western Division teams and we always played 3 game home and away series.
