Buddy Guy
Dude was waaaaay ahead of his time. He was also a major influence in Hendrix's style.

Prefer the Hill Country myself even though T Model is from the delta. He still has the hill country sound.
T Model Ford - Where you been
T Model Ford - Chicken Head Man
Way under appreciated, Charles Caldwell. To obad by the time he was discovered he passed away.
Charles Caldwell - same man
Charles Caldwell - Remember me
But Popular blues...
Taj Mahal - Corinna

I think that's his best record. very raw, dark, & nasty sounding. unfortunately, he never plays anything from it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you The Velvet Bulldozer. Give it up for Albert King's Born Under a Bad Sign.
This has always been my favorite.

Al Kooper,Mike Bloomfield,& Stephen Stills - Super Session
a criminally underrated album. "Season of the Witch" in particular is haunting.
another gem, Jammed Together by Albert King, Steve Cropper, and Pop Staples
What'd I Say
Big Bird
Optus de Soul
No explanation needed.
Bell Bottom Blues
Key to the Highway - this may be favorite blues jam ever

Go to Picadilly on Government St. around lunchtime. On weekdays, a living blues legend by the name of Henry Gray plays there a few days a week. He has played with EVERYONE who is anyone in Blues. He just sits at his little piano and plays a few songs and sings. Dude's 89 years old, and still got it.

This LP was actually pretty popular in its day. A great record for me and my high school stoner buddies to play air guitar to.
