Well that sucks... I would expect the other retailers to follow suit over the next few months.
Didn't Home Depot or Lowes announce they were doing this late last year?
I think the number came down to 10k people losing it.

Home Depot, Trader Joe's and Forever 21 are some other large retailers that have recently done this. In 2011 WalMart ended coverage for their employees working 24 hours or less, then in mid 2013 they announced they would be moving 35,000 part-time folks to full-time status so they could get the health benefit.
