It's not high. That's including homeowners, flood, PMI, property tax, P and I. And it also includes only putting 3.5% down. That's what it will cost in the NOLA and surrounding areas anyway.

This and the flood insurance in NOLA were factors I didn't include.
ETA: the assessor's office in NOLA is starting to assess a lot of homes at a higher value these days. I know that some have expressed concerns over whether living in NOLA will be affordable for the working class person in the coming years. Thoughts on that?
