The excitement level of LF is several hundred percent higher than Shepard. I really dont consider it close either.

This. RS was a dual-threat QB and his role in the LSU offense was unclear. He had talent, but how well it would translate at LSU was never certain.
LF is even more talented and touted even higher (#1 recruit) plus he has a clear roll as a RB. Everyone knows what he can do and will offer LSU. Everyone knows where he will fit at LSU and what his role wil be.

Disagree and I actually think Shep had more hype.
Coulda just been cuz I was at LSU then and Im not now
