can we bring this back please, the grey face mask looks great and I'm feeling like it needs a comeback. and the sticker concept would be cool to bring back too.

Please no.
While it looks cool, to me it sort of sends the wrong message to fellow players.
It's like saying to your fellow teammates, "I have X number of stickers, so I'm better than you. Guess you have to step your game up."
I don't like that. They're all on the same team and need to be a team, not a "well, he has the most stickers, so I guess he'll bail us out if such and such happens."
Not a fan of those little stickers. Leave that to tOSU or UGA.
Don't mess with tradition, as another poster said.
We have changed the stripes, the numbers, added the "Geaux" Font with LSU at the collar, it used to say TIGERS in between the two top screws on the face mask, now it also reads LSU in the Geaux Font.
Let's leave it at that.
It's not a fashion show. Just one fellow's opinion.

Leave 'em alone. They are the best in America now. There is way too much tradition at stake here.

Who said they are the best in America?? lol You're probably as thrown off as the grumpy old frick you have in your avatar window. Some of you have poor understanding which is why it is hard to change tradition. Stripes are on Tigers you say, yeah, but this is football uniforms and the damn stripe patterns don't match up. The current gold helmets are really yellow. The old gold was fine because it looked more gold and more like the color of a Tiger, but this is a no win situation because some of you will only see what you wanna see. No one on here has said abandon the whole uniform tradition, just tweak them sometimes to a nice cool modern look.

Teams who have no Tradition , pull off desperate uni changes. Bring back a old LSU uniform for a game, now i can deal with that. Or a helmet like Navy's once every year or 2 would be ok.

Hell I love our look but damn they could do something to change it up sometimes. I know we are one of the most well known looks in college football but damn..2 different helmets really.

the baseball team uses a different logo than any other team and also uses a different font on their jerseys than any other team. and our endzones have changed many many times over the years. not to mention, plenty of teams have different fonts in their endzones than on their uniforms.

that's the material. this has been mentioned before. a lot of teams face this problem because colors appear differently based on the material it's printed on

It couldn't look more stupid than the current font, which looks like a team manager applied with electrical tape.
Update and freshen our look. Keep the traditional elements, but freshen. We did it with new jersey number fonts (which I actually don't like) and it seems we've tweaked the helmet Mike. Why not go a bit further and use the geaux font, which was specifically made for us and which we use nearly everywhere else, including the end zones.

would you like to see how ridiculous that would look for us? ole miss has the same exact template for their jerseys. this is what their uniforms look like with plain pants (sans Rebels)
they look worse, like practice pants.

i liked this midfield logo better than the eye, but i like the eye fine and lsu has branded it too much to change now
