Good video but....

I think your claim that 10-20 percent of bulk .22 ammo fails to ignite/fire is ridiculous. If I misunderstood what you were saying I apologize.

I can honestly say that I have never had a round that did not fire. Granted, I stick to name brands like CCI, Winchester, and Remington but I have literally never seen this.

You either have been lucky or just haven't shot enough 22 rounds. I've shot tons and tons of 22 bullets. I remember my friends uncle that works for the wildlife and fisheries would bring us bricks of 22 bullets and tell us to have fun when we were kids. I've had PLENTY fail to fire. Sometimes I'd have 5-6 out of a box that didn't shoot. Sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes none. 22 bullets are very unreliable. That's why I wouldn't trust one with my life. My m&p 9 pro shoots every time it's supposed to.

I may have exaggerated but the bulletpoint (punny) of what I was saying is that centerfire ammo hardly ever has a crappy primer, ESPECIALLY defense ammo.

You must be lucky because I see it all the time. If you stick to CCI mini mags and other higher priced 22 ammo, I'm sure the success rate is higher. But for the biggest appeal of 22 (shooting for economy, at least in the past ) the bulk packs of ammo have a few duds. Even today I went and shot some Remington Golden Bullet ammo and we had 4-5 duds. It happens much more often in rimfire than centerfire.

Gotta be way less than 1% that fails. I've shot thousands of rounds. Big boxes of 500 to small 50 round boxes. Failures pretty rare, and most will fire the next time you cycle them true. About equal to the amount of shotgun shell failures.
