I think the PMAC is rated about what it should be, mostly because the outside looks terrible. If we built a facility that was the same size as the PMAC but also incorporated the themes from campus it would be phenomenal. That being said, we are lucky to have a facility that can hold so many people and is of much higher quality than many in the SEC. We should really start taking advantage of this.
The real question is how can we have such bad facilities in the other sports compared to the others in the SEC. I understand having some bad ones, like the Natatorium, building a new Nat would be crazy expensive because of the technical aspects. But what about easier facilities, indoor track, Tennis courts/indoor tennis facility/ a legit Gymnastics practice facility. I know Rome wasn't built in a day, and I guess we are starting to see improvement (i.e. softball, baseball, outdoor track, soccer) but I think we should see more, hopefully it is on the way.

They are planning if not already building a new tennis facility and are planning a gymnastic practice facility. I was a kinesiology major at LSU and spent a lot of time in the Maddox field house, it has good bones but it needs some renovation bad.

That's part of the problem. LSU has gotten away from the overall theme the past 10-15 yrs and it shows. Many bldgs are out place or simply head scratchers.

LSU athletics simply doesn't have the money to compete with the other SEC schools since no state dollars funding athletics and Athletics required to give 7.2M back to the university every year.
Several of the other SEC schools have very wealthy boosters. LSU has a few but not to the level as Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, and now Texas A&M
