AU never got on probation but he was singled on at least once and maybe twice and pulled off the recurring trail for months..I think one occasion was 90 days and one may have been 6 months..So he is squeaky clean in my books

I dont think either occurrence was 6 months in length. both were related to secondaries. and one was because he played horse with a recruit(Jameis Winston) and took some recruits to toomers corner. Both occurrences he was still recruiting, just not on the road and were self administered punishments.

Spit Troopers log out.

He practically kidnapped Greg Robinson, Had him in for multiple visits with-out his legal gardians permission. After one visit I saw GR's facebook page which was taken down the next day. In it he boasted of his haul he had just made. He posted a picture of himself with a least 3 Iphones on a bed full of $100 bills.

That was a crimal offence.Trooper is the cesspool scum.

I never saw his article. I was messaged one night to go to GR's facebook. Then a few days later all the news hit about the 10 Minute Oil change Recruiter. And the many photo's of recruiting parties where all over the internet. A couple of interviews with "Grandma" saying she did not know GR left the state or with who.

The actual number of Iphones has little to do with Troopers tactic's and more to do with my memory.
If the number was wrong and it was really 2 Iphones and one Droid would that make you feel better?

NCAA expands Auburn investigation Share This Story

NCAA investigators on Monday interviewed several people in Thibodaux, La., about Auburn’s recruitment of offensive lineman Greg Robinson and wide receiver Trovon Reed and both players’ involvement with Sean Nelson, who took them on multiple unofficial visits to Auburn.

Dennis Lorio, Thibodaux High School's former football coach, said he was interviewed for 45 minutes by one of two NCAA investigators who visited him Monday. Robinson was also interviewed by an NCAA investigator for “a couple of hours” and Robinson’s mother was also interviewed, according to Lorio.

Sports by Brooks has more questions about Auburn.
Efforts to reach Robinson and his mother Wednesday were unsuccessful. NCAA spokeswoman Stacey Osborn declined comment, citing the NCAA’s policy of not commenting on current, pending or potential investigations.

A message left for Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs was not immediately returned Wednesday.

Lorio said the NCAA investigator who interviewed him asked if he believed Auburn had committed NCAA violations in its recruitment of Robinson, who signed with the national champion Tigers earlier this month. Robinson and Reed, who redshirted as a freshman this past season, were both primarily recruited by Trooper Taylor, Auburn’s assistant head coach.

“I can’t say what Auburn did because I don’t know and I wasn’t involved very much,” Lorio said Wednesday. “I really don’t know truthfully.”

“My answer is what went on with Greg’s recruitment, you’re going to have ask Trooper Taylor, Greg, his parents and, I believe, Sean Nelson. I don’t have any more answers because I don’t know.”

In December, Lorio told FOXSports.com that several coaches and students saw Robinson show off cash and a new iPhone at school after making an unofficial visit to Auburn earlier in the year.

Messages left with Auburn spokesman Kirk Sampson for a request to talk with Taylor were not immediately returned Wednesday.

Before last month’s BCS title game, Taylor told FOXSports.com he did not give money or items to Nelson or Robinson.

“It’s illegal to give money,” Taylor said with a laugh. “Greg Robinson got travel money for coming down with him and his family, which is for mileage and they got a check for that. That was it.”

Lorio said the NCAA investigator also asked about him about Nelson’s relationship with Robinson and Reed and the unofficial visits to Auburn on which he drove them. In an interview with FOXSports.com last month, Nelson denied he was paid by anyone associated with Auburn for taking Reed and Robinson to their unofficial visits.

Nelson and Robinson both told FOXSports.com they made two such visits together.

"All I know is what Greg did when he was around here,” Lorio said. “He did well. He didn’t do as great this year as his junior year. He was inconsistent. We weren’t quite as good. There were a lot of things going on. As far as what went on when he left here, I have very little knowledge. That’s just a fact.”

Lorio said the NCAA investigator also asked about Robinson’s grandmother, Lydia Robinson, whom Lorio said he has never met. Robinson said Wednesday she was not interviewed by the NCAA and declined further comment.

But she told FOXSports.com last month that she was unhappy with Auburn’s recruitment of her grandson and Nelson having taken him to Auburn on unofficial visits. Robinson also hoped her grandson would choose another school.

She said Auburn's coaches "weren't very intelligent" and was especially critical of Taylor, who she says "got a lot of lies in there when he was talking."

“I don’t know anymore beyond that,” Lorio said.

Lorio said one person told him Nelson was interviewed by NCAA investigators and that another person was unsure if it happened. Nelson, who claims to be Reed’s guardian and operates a non-profit mentoring program called Total Package, declined to tell FOXSports.com on Wednesday whether he had been interviewed by the NCAA.

“Why you calling me? Unless you’re calling to apologize, don’t call my phone no more,” Nelson said before hanging up.

Not as much details as what was ciculaing on the Rant at the time. What was mostly talked about was how an Oil Change Tech had the cash to throw large recruit parties.

NCAA investigating Auburn again (not Cam Newton this time)
7:55 pm February 16, 2011, by Jeff Schultz

Cam Newton has left campus but apparently the NCAA is still snooping around Auburn.
To the portion of the college football fan base that believes Auburn and Cam Newton got away with something this past season, this probably will come as sweet news: The NCAA is looking into recruiting issues at Auburn again.

According to stories on FoxSports.com and the blog site SportsByBrooks, NCAA investigators were in Thibodaux, La., this week to speak with Auburn recruit Greg Robinson and three others regarding how Robinson (an offensive lineman) and wide receiver Trovon Reed (a 2010 recruit also from Thibodaux) ended up signing with the Tigers.

Part of the investigation appears to be focusing on Sean Nelson, who lives in Thibodaux and was involved in the recruiting process. If Nelson is some sort of street agent and compensation was involved in Auburn landing Robinson and/or Reed, that’s an obvious NCAA violation.

LSU fans aren’t happy about two home grown players leaving the state and suspect something. So, apparently, does the NCAA. The investigation follows a Fox Sports story last month, Nelson claimed he was Reed’s guardian and denied receiving any money. An excerpt from the Fox story in January:

Robinson said that to his knowledge, Nelson never received money from anyone associated with Auburn to take him on unofficial visits there. In a telephone interview Friday, Nelson also denied he was paid by anyone associated with Auburn for bringing Reed and Robinson.

“I don’t care what people think, they can think what they want, but Trovon chose to go Auburn so he went to Auburn,” Nelson said before hanging up.

But [former Thibodaux High School coach Dennis] Lorio, a former LSU graduate assistant, says Auburn’s sudden recruiting success here is curious.

“How did players from Thibodaux, La., become so interested in Auburn?” Lorio asks. “That’s a really good question. Trooper Taylor and Sean Nelson would know.”

Trooper Taylor is an assistant coach at Auburn.

Lorio said he told NCAA investigators he doesn’t know what occurred. But he told Fox Sports in a previous conversation that coaches and students saw Robinson “show off cash and a new iPhone at school after making an unofficial visit to Auburn,” according to the story.

Well, well. All we need is Cecil “Huggy Bear” Newton and the circle of life is complete.

As I’ve written previously, I didn’t have an issue with the NCAA not suspending Newton and Auburn escaping probation because it lacked evidence at the time of the investigation. We don’t convict on suspicions in this country.

But this much seems certain: The NCAA wants to crack down on the practice of players being shopped, that means focusing on the relationship between street agents and football programs.
