So, I pull up at Walgreens just now in Watson and there is an old beat up Toyota parked in the handicap spot right in front of the store. There is no driver or adult in the car, but a child no more than 2-3 years old in a car seat in the back seat. I watch for about five minutes and out comes an old obese woman--I assume grandma--with her two packs of cigarettes. Opinions on leaving a child in the car like that?

Too many people here feel the need to stalk other people in parking lots and check out registers.

The woman was at liberty to do that.

If she was going in for two packs of cigarettes she could've gone out to the murphies in the parking lot that way she could park the car where she could see the kid. What she did I consider child neglect.

My full opinion on leaving a child in the car is that, while I don't ever see myself doing it, I don't think it's my business if the child isn't in any sort of danger. Like I said, it's January. A different time of year is a completely different story.

Since it's winter... Kind of, sort of, ok. Still child neglect in my opinion.

Try that anytime in Arizona between May and October for more than 5 minutes, you're coming out to either an A) dehydrated, B) unconscious, and/or C) dead kid.

You should absolutely call the cops if she did not have a handicap plate/ tag, unless of course, there was not a sign marking it a handicap space.

It's 60 degrees inside of the car.

OMG you should have gotten a trash can and broken the window to get the kid out.

Also dog > baby to the OT when it comes to saving them from the inferno of sitting inside a car in the parking lot.

I would love to know how many of you 1- actually have kids 2- text and drive 3- drink and drive

As a mother of two under the age of 3 if I need to run into a store in less than 2 minutes and my baby is asleep I damn sure will leave her in the car, lock all doors, and make sure I can see her at all times

Finally, the judgement of the ignorance doesn't bother me at all.
