I really haven't watched his film or anything. Would he compare to a Marlon Favorite/Al Woods type of DT?

The tape out there is pretty uninspiring, but he dominated during AA week, so that's a positive.
He's not gonna be pass rush specialist, but I think he has more upside than a pure space eater.

I think this diminishes his potential - he is a big body, with a quick first step, though.

I agree with this. If he lives up to his potential, Chavis will be able to anchor the OL with TV in the middle.
