I dunno if he is head coaching material. I get the feeling the whole Ryan family thinks the main purpose of an offense is to give time for the defense to rest.
I hope Rob Ryan doesn't become a head coach until he leads the Saints to another Super Bowl win.

Another way of looking at this...maybe owners recognize someone that won't do something as trivial as cutting his hair as someone who won't conform or adapt, who won't listen to suggestions? Who would want to hire someone like that?

He's not polished enough. He's a great players coach as an assistant without the politics of running the show. I hope he has a long career with the saints...
