If you've played a Tales game in the past and enjoyed it, yes. If you've not played a Tales game in the past, watch a trailer of the battle system. If it seems interesting to you, then yes. I definitely enjoyed it.
It's pretty standard fare in terms of story telling, at least for JRPGs, but it's the battles that separate the Tales series and why I enjoy them.
