Really? I learned to write both ways as a kid and can just as easily write one way or the other depending on the situation. It's not that difficult as some are making it out to be.

It's not a matter of difficulty. It's just completely useless. It's like bragging that you have the most awesome 8-track in the neighborhood.

Not a question of being difficult...just incredibly unnecessary. As someone stated earlier, cursive is just this side of calligraphy in terms of usefulness in the 21st century.

Not sure if it was accidental by the OP, but his use of "art form" was apropos in this case as that's where it art to be taught...art class.

So did I. I wrote in cursive for many years.

stopped writing in cursive when I found I could print faster, and more legibly.

when it is a skill you have not used in decades, it can be difficult.
