court ordered payment....it is legally theirs
he's getting them to draft a law to take that order away, and then reopen his case so that he gets to pay them less.

what word not synonymous with theft would you use?

It's the wife's to spend.

Show me the bank account with the kids name on it these payments are being deposited in to.

Ok I can go with that, but your court ordered, legal argument doesnt work when:

So then if the law changes, wouldn't the money not legally be theirs anymore? No matter how the law came to be.

Power. Some people have it and they usually use it when they have it.

And as has been said, it's usually people that are affected by a law that try to have that law changed. There weren't a lot of men trying to get women the right to vote nor were there a bunch of non drinkers trying to have prohibition repealed.
