A combination like Chase Sapphire Reserve for travel and dining (3x points), and the American Express Platinum Card for additional travel benefits like airport lounge access and Uber credits could be advantageous. These cards offer points that can be redeemed for travel expenses, and their perks can offset their annual fees for frequent travelers.

If you would fly one specific airline most of the time (ie southwest) would you get a southwest card in lieu of an AMEX?
