I don't like the attitude that Green Jeans has when he inspects me.
I'll have everything with me; Life vest, whiste (kayaking), fishing license, etc. and he's mad for some reason. It's like he's pissed that I am not ticket-able.
They, like NC State Troopers (or any other State Trooper) have very little social skills. They are overpaid hall monitors, yet forget that the reason that they are overpaid is the taxpayer. It's one of the Murphy's Laws that I don't like.
You meet a kind one about 1/4th of the time. I understand that the Government lacks severely in customer service, but it's something we all learned when we were young: have a good/pleasant attitude and things seem to come your way.
If you reply that they have a hard job; I'd like to see them do mine. It requires some level of polite communication.

^ This. Especially pisses me off when the same Fish Police check my license weekend after weekend during the summer at the same dock every time and fail to recognize that they've ever seen me before in their life. It's not as if I fish out of a major metropolitan area and hundreds of people use this launch everyday. After six license checks by the same two occifers in a month's time, something tells me they either have no common sense or they're just looking to write a ticket.
