I think it's time for COD or BF to go back to WWII era. The new tech would allow for greater immersion and the gamer can take a break from all of the future weapon technology bullshite going on in these games.

This^^^^

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing a new Vietnam era FPS with all this updated technology. I was late to the party of BFBC2:Vietnam, but that was one of the most fun FPS games I've played.

BF3 and COD 4 were my most favorite "modern warfare" fps, but in all honesty, I'm way more partial to WWII and Vietnam than all this futuristic bs they keep putting out.

Get rid of perks, like the ones that allow you to perform outside of the bounds of a normal soldier. If you're going to fall 3 stories, heck yeah you need to take some serious damage if not die.

The perk system wasn't too bad in COD 4, but COD has too "arcade-like" for my taste.

As far as snipers, I love the class and what it is SUPPOSED to represent, but the people who play those classes are 9 times out of 10 lone wolf players who refuse to help the team or even utilize the class to its full potential as it pertains to helping the team.

You also should not be able to run and gun at close range effectively with a sniper rifle vs someone with an m16, shotgun or SMG.

Battlefield 2, on PC was the greatest. And it was made even better with Project Reality. Nothing will ever top it.
