If Kiffin promises to never run the fricking shotgun on 3rd and short situations I'd hire him tomorrow.

It would only fall in line with every other thread on here. You missed the entire SEC Rant incessantly trashing the hire of Cam Cameron; there was no shortage of people slamming him for his results as a head coach.

The short answer is yes. People hate Lane Kiffin. Some of his peers hate him. But you never hear his peers say he's a terrible coach. In fact, the ones that actually comment say the opposite. Even Saban respects his knowledge and ability.

His weakness was his inability to lead a program. Bama doesn't need his expertise in that area. They need someone who knows the pro-style offense and can recruit kids with swagger. Kiffin can do that with the best of them.
