We've been doing it for years, first time it was obvious to me was the Oregon came. I don't know if we started this trend or not but we definitely have a well earned reputation for doing it. It's low class and against the rules. Running an uptempo offense isn't against the rules. It needs to be dealt with harshly by the NCAA.

um...there are already rules in place to keep players from faking injuries. You have to sit out a play or use a timeout to keep the player in the game. LSU is simply using the existing rules to their benefit.

you are correct. neither is having a player lay on the ground, having medical staff check on him, then replacing that player with another player.

meh.

lol, trust me, LSU didn't. there's a whole conference that has to play Oregon, and there have been accusations of this in amongst Pac 10/12 schools for a while.

How in the hell is it "low class" or against the rules for that matter? And furthermore, good luck proving that the injury was fake in real time.

I look at it the same way a poster said above, if a team is going to use uptempo to eliminate the advantage of having depth and using substitutes, then I'm ok with countering that with downtempo to take away their advantage as well. It's strategy-has nothing to do with class.

And kelly was going nuts complaining about the saints doing it.

Hey they can complain all they want and boo, but some of the players actually missed games. I doubt we would fake an injury then sit a player just to prove he was injured.
