It is a great recruiting tool for some of the top athletes but these NFL analysts coming out and saying this one is first round and this one is third is the real reason for the 9-3...11-2 seasons. Really think what our team looks like this year if we do not lose the juniors from last year.Unless the NFL does something I think this will continue to grow.LF has already been quoted to say "three years at LSU then to the NFL"

Why shouldn't the kids be able to follow their dreams as early as possible?

Kids should be able to go to the NFL whenever the NFL wants them, IMO.

It's not as if LSU got hammered in their 3 losses this year. In the SEC there is always a very fine line between wins and losses. Hell, there's no better example than Auburn. This is a team that easily could have been a 3-4 loss group. Yet, coupled with being a good team, they had the breaks go their way and damn near won the NC.

If LSU's 3-4 year players in the secondary could have got on the right page at some point in the UGA game, LSU probably wins. 10-2

Terrible decision making by ZM kept a good, but not great OM team in a game which they pulled out at the end. LSU easily could have led at the half and not had to play catch up all game. 11-1

Bama was the only game in which they were clearly the better team. However, the line between LSU and Bama wasn't that great. Just like FSU last night, a well timed fake put changed the game.

When you recruit top level athletes on a year to year basis, you can't be surprised when the NFL wants them ASAP. Likewise, you can't be shocked when those guys go to the NFL ASAP. I would MUCH rather LSU continue to sign big-time athletes that only stay 3 years at LSU, as opposed to less talented guys who stick around 4-5 years.

College is a vehicle to a better life.
Three years playing football at LSU should do very well to get LF there.
