it's with all the networks but espn jumped exponentially when Disney bought them.
It's purely about market share and numbers. The Saints have an astounding amount of market share in NOLA, La, and the region. Problem is those numbers are nothing in comparison to the major markets. There were some ratings published recently. The numbers were sumpin in the line of 85% of the NOLA market was watching the Saints. Problem is that the NYC market, getting less than 10% watched, was still larger numbers than NOLA. All about corporate revenue is the bottom line.
What I don't get is why so many watch that shite. Getting your sports info from espn is like forming your news opinions from the major networks. The Bayless type of talking heads shows make me feel like I'm being dumbed down just viewing.The intrawebs are chock full of good, solid, and more entertaining info. In fact, I'd say if you read nothing but ST, SR, and CSC you would know multiple times more about the Saints then what you get from the mainstream.
