I'm usually okay with a little give, but what really bothers me is when the boot shaft is loose, resulting in it hitting my leg with every stride.

I'm the opposite. I wear an 11.5 in shoes, but need at least a 12.5 in boots. I have a very high arch which makes it almost impossible to find a boot I can actually wear.

Putting on snake boots is a five minute ordeal for me...sucks
