i remember going to camp at lsu from 89-91, didnt make 92 cause of a spring training injury.

i remember 2-9. i remember a campus that isnt anything close to what it is now.

in 1989 i remember #7 LSU getting beat by frickin vandy in week 4 (i think) and it didnt get better until dinardo.

i remember hallman, (who i got to know a little, got a couple letters, birthday card, etc), and that blown lead against auburn (the jamie howard int game) and a narrow loss to fsu as games that might have put us over the hump. i remember the upset at bama in 93. that was probably the high point. that was my freshman year. that was also a time when hbcus were still somewhat relative and a few good players actually went to em, lol.

when dinardo showed up, he immediately put us over the hump. hes the one that got the ball rollin, and if he had kept carl reese from going to texas to join mack brown, we might be talking about dinardo instead of miles and saban. his relationship with tepper ruined him at lsu. scholarship limit was reduced even firther in 96 to 85 limit. bama was falling and dinardo didnt even try to keep carl reese.

dinardo woulda kept winning right through the mark emmert era.
