Let's hear them. Just bought a dehydrator.

I don't use a dehydrator. I use the snack stick kits from Hi Mountain and they are great. Just made 4lbs of bison jerky sticks last night. Just add the cure and seasonings, stuff the sticks and smoke for 2 hours the next day. It cant get any easier...

I use an oven, 200° for 5 hours or so.

I use the oven. Put a toothpick through top of slice and hang it from rack with foil lined pan underneath. Put oven on lowest setting it will take and pull it when desired moisture is gone. Recipe? Use the whole spice cabinet (wet and dry ingredients)

Been using this one for years.
Jerky
2 pounds meat thinly sliced
1/2 tsp Tony's or to taste. Usually use a whole tsp.
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp liquid smoke - teriyaki, mesquite or original
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4-1/2 cup soy sauce
Combine all ingredients. Marinate meat overnight.
Dehydrate!
OPTIONAL STEP:
After jerky has been dehydrated mix up a basing sauce with:
2parts Tony’s (or whatever powdered steak or other food seasoning of your choice)
1part water
Base jerky with mixture and dehydrate again for 1 hour.
