Simon - who knows what exactly went into his decision but he wasn't going to vault from the 5th round to the 1st or 2nd so why wait?
Ware - in a huge stable of running backs. If he projects as a 6th rounder and only 7 running backs were picked in the first 3 rounds of the 2012 draft, why wait?
Faulk - was he going to get better in LSU's training room or perhaps a NFL training room?
Ford - see Ware.
i don't see any arguments about the CBA

Also. In 09 we had a massively talented recruiting class. Everyone of those guys were ballers. Ranked number 1 class by espn and number 2 by just about every other service.
All those guys are gone, all those guys were talented enough to have a way above average shot at the league coming out of high school. There is the bulk of the recent defectors.
Minter 4th mike backer rated nationally
Mingo/Montgomery/rasco/hunter/Allen top 7 DEs
Ford/ware top 5 RBs coming out
Faulk/La'el/ Alexander top 8 oline coming out
Freak/ego/brockers etc. top 5 coming out. Logan was not. Improved his stock by coming back.
Not even doing wr's/secondary/skill positions. My point? We have had enormously talented individuals being recruited that can play ball in the league. Most other schools don't have that problem. Now that that 09 class is gone, you will see less and less go because the talent is not there like before.
The recruiting class this year while good and probably top 5 is still a disappointment. We are relying on out of state blue chips instead of ones in our own fricking back yard. WHY?
LSU fans ridicule LSU and miles more then anyone. That is why.

I assumed from my previous posts that you knew I believe that there is virtually no difference in 2-7 round contracts and that players know they have to start the "2nd contract clock" as soon as possible. If you are draftable and not a first rounder with no chance of moving into the first round, why stay??? Can you explain how any of those players would've definitively benefited from staying in school. They all made a nice living last year.
