I totally agree with the OP
So Hill, Juice, & OBJ weren't?

Hey Tiger88
RE: You still waiting for Les to explain it....
We'll go to our graves not knowing why he did anything, especially why he layed that egg in the Dome.

Great point Meauxjeaux, but we needed to be up by 2 TD's for it to be similar to what OU did last night
It would have been 14-3 to start the game had Copeland not fumbled.
Two years in a row vs Bama that Copeland cost LSU a huge score in the first quarter. The year prior it was a PF.

It's considered a gimmicky offense unless you line up in 2 backs, 2 tights and run B gap toss. That's real football. SEC football. Everything else is just bullshite Madden football.

You will never see a spread hurry up offense the whole game under our stubborn head coach les miles!!

Is there a budget for situational game planning consultants?

While offense shouldn't be built around non-traditional or "trick" plays, a halfback pass off the option or sweep, or a "flea-flicker" keeps the safeties, corners & even OLBs from selling out to the run on every play. But we (almost) never use those.
I agree with above also- mis-direction causes aggressive D's to over pursue and opens up lanes.
Our O still needs more variation, even though Cam was a vast improvement.

They looked out of synch the rest of the season, culminating in that JefferSwag led Grand Abomination in the Superdome.
UGGGGGGHHHHHH.
Didn't Lee not get a single snap in that abomination?
Why, just why.

OU beat Bama because their QB was ON FIRE.
OU beat Bama because they went up-tempo and executed just like Auburn. Bama likes to run packages in based on down and distance which is what we play into with the slow-paced plodding style. They couldn't do that when OU got up to the LOS and didn't change personnel. This is the same thing that created the shoot-out against A&M and the win for Auburn. The QB was good, but he received a lot of RAC from his receivers.

The way to beat bama is for them to turn it over 4 times 3 times in the first half.

Ya know, yes we are second fiddle to Nicky but Miles has won 3 of 7 and 08 and 12 could have gone our way quite easily also.

Saban hates to play against the uptempo spread. More and more schools are going to this offense. L'il Nicky will have to adjust or get passed by.
Les and Cam need to pay close attention as this applies to them too.

Not only does he not defend it well, he whines about everybody running it and tries to get the rules changed (claiming some unsubstantiated stuff about injuries). Makes him come across as whiny.
That said, Miles & Chavis do a very good job of defending against the HUNH offenses. See Auburn and A&M this year and Oregon & West Virginia last year. GTHOM is the only HUNH team to beat LSU since 2011 (and our two interceptions had a lot to do with that).
Every coach has his vulnerable spots.

One thing that is true, the running back pass is never well defended by Saban's defenses. Both Fla and Okla did it to us continually in 2003. Watching his defenses, it is still a problem, because like a running QB, the back down the middle is not easily defended. His lbs are also mismatched against an athletic TE. The only problem is that since 2008, Les hates the middle of the field and since Lee, we haven't had anyone who could consistently throw it. Also, Les wouldn't let Lee do it once Crowton left. I almost think Met was too tall and had too big of an arm to screen and make really short throws. Actually Bama's offence would work well against Bama's D, because they do a lot of that.

They turned it over 4 times against ou. We turned it over twice. Had a chance to score at least 27 in the first half. Diff ball game. I'm nit making excuses. But the offensive plan doesn't say to fumble on the goaline and to botch a snap.
