Would you risk your investment to the whimsy of Eric Holder?

And if that's your thing, then that's cool with me. I just find it amazing how much money people are willing to spend on some things. And FWIW this is not anything against pot. I have nothing against it personally.

you don't know how math works. especially averages.

northshorebama is an extreme user due to a medical condition. you made him an "average" user in attempt you skew your point of view.

Same here. I'm amazed at the time and money people waste on long commutes. Worth it to them, I suppose.

I'm not trying to push any agenda here. I asked what the average was and he answered. I've not smoked pot since high school back in the 80's. I honestly have no idea how long an ounce will last the average pot smoker. No need to be so defensive and trying to find an agenda here where there is not one to begin with

You also asked how I smoked an ounce a week. I said every two weeks. Just clarifying.

Yeah Obama said years ago he wouldn't spend fed resources attacking pot. Then he did.

Exactly, I asked how long an ounce will last an average pot smoker and nobody chimed in an gave an answer other than bamaman who said he goes through an ounce in two weeks. I had no idea this was an "extreme user" level.

Me either. A half ounce a week is high school level(or maybe my high school had a problem )

this was his answer.

I don't know if it's average, but I buy an ounce every two weeks.

sorry northshore, i was looking at the 800 dollars per month figure and jumped to an oz a week. i was misled. the real number you spend is closer to 400 per month?

do you smoke your supply of medical weed all by yourself? or do you share some with friends?

I think the question we all need to be asking is "Can you buy weed with bitcoin?"

My wife will smoke occasionally. When I smoke with friends everyone usually matches. Yeah, around $400.
eta-includes dabs and occasional edibles.

Wasn't the law passed many months ago? How long does it take to start up the growing process? I would think producers would have geared up their production in anticipation of the law taking effect.

look at my first post in this thread that explains it. They couldn't start growing it for their non medical customers until jan 1st. What is being sold now is a small portion of the supply that was grown for the medical users. The first crops specifically grown for non medical users won't be harvested until march/april.

You bring up a good point. This policy of Holder's where DEA ignores pot is just that... a policy. And unlike law, policy is, as you say, up to the whim of whomever is in charge at that moment. Holder will be leaving office at some point, at least by 2016. What happens then? What if the next AG is a "letter of the law" type of man (or woman) and they shut down everything in Colorado and any other states that follow Colorado's lead? Needless to say, this new found pot freedom we're watching unfold in Colorado is on very precarious standing considering the fact there are still laws on the books that, if the Fed government wants, can be used to shut the whole thing down.

There seems to be a pattern of that behavior in this thread.

With that in mind, isn't paranoia an attribute of frequent marijuana use?
