If that happened on one team I played on, the coach would have been chewing asses for not jumping on the ball. This was when I was in 8th grade for God's sake.
Of course it helped we didn't have facemasks back then.

Don't come on here with anything resembling coaching question or the CLM police will haul you in quick LOL!
But reminded of the Honeybadger spike/drop before GL vs UGA 11 SECCG that was a second premature but the officials signalled TD and just missed the drop.
