Same schools, different make up of students, return to neighborhood schools instead of bussing kids all over the place, lots of kids in private schools come back to public system, parents start giving a phuck and become involved in the schools again, great schools will then attract great teachers, etc

Does this happen now? I thought the desegregation order ended years ago.

The rampant bussing ended a few years ago when the US Justice Dept and a Federal judge declared the EBR system unitary and the suit was settled.

I agree with you on this. And there is not enough school rooms to hold them.
