Did you actually see the way that fan base reacted when Paterno was fired? For the life of me I can't understand how you are believing that there aren't PSU supporters who want things to go back to the way they were

He didn't need this job to get a shot at a HC gig in the NFL. He took a huge risk coming here. Every single scholarship kid on that team could have walked and he could have lost 10 games a year. No one would be making excuses for him in that scenario because he would have failed to stem the exodus of players.
